Category:Wehrpass
The Wehrpass was a German military service record used before and during the Second World War. Unlike the Soldbuch, which was normally carried by the serviceman during active duty, the Wehrpass was generally retained by the responsible military administration.
A Wehrpass could record personal information, civilian occupation, military training, unit assignments, promotions, awards, campaigns, and changes in military status. For researchers, these documents can provide valuable evidence when reconstructing the career of an individual medic, physician, dentist, veterinarian, or other member of the military medical services.
This category contains articles about individual Wehrpässe preserved and studied by Sanitäter.eu. Each article aims to place the surviving document in its historical context while distinguishing clearly between confirmed information and provisional interpretations of handwritten entries.
